Here's what you should know about Boots

First, we’re almost completely vegan, and we’re mostly gluten-free. As the bakery part of our name suggests, we have pastries, muffins, etc., but we also have a deli case full of savory foods. And we aim to please all eaters, so if you have special dietary considerations, let us know.

Second, we make pretty mean drinks. Boots was opened in June 2012 by Alison Collins, a bartender with 10 years of experience in Spokane, most famously for her hospitality behind the stick at Mizuna. Alison is an intuitive bartender who likes to surprise her guests. Don’t know exactly what you want? Let her know what you’re in the mood for, and she’ll see what she can do.

Last, our space. Housed in the historic Longbotham building in the up-and-coming east end of downtown Spokane, Boots has exposed brick walls and ridiculously high ceilings, and its decoration was a collaborative effort by some of Spokane’s best local artists, including Dan Spalding, Neicy Frey, Katey Manley, Tiffany Patterson, Erin Carden, and Travis Cobb. We think it looks pretty great. We hope you agree.

Our bar has one of the finer selections of fancy booze in Spokane, but we don’t do “craft” cocktails — we do well-crafted cocktails. Fresh-squeezed juices. A good, stiff pour. Housemade mixes, Worcestershire and sangria. A focus on the best of the season. Prop yourself up at the bar, give us your parameters, and let’s see what we can come up with together.

Need some joe? Our coffee comes from DOMA (Post Falls), Anvil (Spokane), Evans Brothers (Sandpoint), and Indaba (Spokane), all of whom use organic, sustainable, Fair Trade, shade-grown beans. Come try it with your choice of milks: almond, coconut, soy, rice, hemp, or your more traditional dairy options. Or go cold-brew. Or nitro (you can even take a growler home). Or, if you feel like a little extra something something, try the Shakerato or the Boozy Coffee: two shots of espresso, milk of your choice, booze of Alison’s choice.

Looking for a menu? You won’t find one here. Our salads, cookies, cupcakes, muffins and mains are made from the best stuff brought to us by local farmers, so the selection changes daily—sometimes even twice a day. We like to keep things fresh. We are completely vegan, mostly gluten-free, and our soy and corn is non-GMO. (If you have special dietary considerations, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.)
